DESCRIPTION

DOSAGE
Adults, elderly and adolescents over 12 years: 0.5 to 1 g every 4 to 6 hours. Children 6 to 12 years: 250 to 500 mg every 4 hours to a maximum of 2 g (4 tablets of 500 mg) in 24 hours.
CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY
Cetirizine, a human metabolite of hydroxyzine, is an antihistamine; its principal effects are mediated via selective inhibition of peripheral H1 receptors. The antihistaminic activity of cetirizine has been clearly documented in a variety of animal and human models
INDICATIONS
Headache, Nasal congestion, Sinus Symptoms caused by allergies,Fever Muscle pain, Sciatica, Common cold and flu
SIDE EFFECTS
A rash or swelling – this could be a sign of an allergic reaction, hypotension (low blood pressure) when given in hospital by infusion (a continuous drip of medicine into a vein in your arm) ,liver and kidney damage, when taken at higher-than-recommended doses (overdose)
DRUG INTERACTIONS
Do not use this medicine if you have taken an MAO inhibitor is the past 14 days.A dangerous deug interaction could occur.Do not take more of this medication than is recommended.
